🔹 Step 1: Preparing the Aggregate
The key to making strong bricks starts with quality materials!
✅ Use clean sand and good-quality aggregates (natural or crusher sand, 6-7mm stone).
✅ Sieve out any lumps, stones, or dirt for a smooth mix.
✅ Work on a clean, level, and hard surface to ensure consistency.

🔹 Step 2: Mixing the Perfect Brick Formula
Getting the right mix is crucial for strong bricks.
🔹 Manual Mixing Process:
1️⃣ Lay sand in a thin heap on the mixing slab.
2️⃣ Add PPC SURECAST 42,5R cement and mix until the color is uniform.
3️⃣ Create a hollow in the center, then gradually add water while mixing.
4️⃣ Continue mixing until the mix holds its shape when squeezed in your hand.
💡 Pro Tip: A mix that’s too wet will make weak bricks, while a mix that’s too dry won’t hold together. Find the right balance!
🔹 Step 3: Testing the Mix (Very Important!)
✔ Too much water? The mix will be runny and won’t hold its shape.
✔ Too dry? The mix crumbles and won’t compact properly.
✔ Perfect mix? It forms a solid ball in your hand and holds its shape.

🔹 Step 4: Moulding the Bricks
✅ Fill the brick-making machine mold evenly.
✅ Press down firmly to compact the mix (this makes stronger bricks).
✅ Lift the mold without disturbing the brick.
✅ Move the machine and repeat the process row by row.
💡 Using a brick-making machine? Make sure it compacts properly to avoid weak spots!
🔹 Step 5: Curing – The Secret to Stronger Bricks
Bricks get stronger over time, so don’t rush this step!
✅ Cover freshly made bricks immediately with a plastic sheet for 24 hours.
✅ After 24 hours, carefully move them to a stacking area.
✅ Keep the bricks damp for at least 7 days for full curing and strength.

🔹 Step 6: Quality Control & Storage
✅ Check strength to ensure they won’t crack under pressure.
✅ Use a gauge to check brick height—uneven bricks cause construction issues.
✅ Apply the FIFO (First In, First Out) rule to use older, fully cured bricks first.
