Important Maintenance Guidelines

To maximise the lifespan of your moulds and ensure easy demoulding, follow these maintenance recommendations:

Always apply a suitable mould release oil before casting to prevent concrete from bonding to the mould surface.
Thoroughly clean the mould after every cast, removing all cement and concrete residue before reapplying release oil.
Before storage, ensure the mould is completely clean and lightly coated with oil to protect the steel surfaces.
Store moulds in a dry, covered area. Prolonged exposure to rain and moisture can cause rust and reduce service life.
Handle moulds carefully. Avoid dropping, striking, or hammering them, as this may cause distortion or damage.
If excessive force is required to remove a concrete product from the mould, inspect the mould for damage and ensure adequate release oil is being used.
